(un)acceptable: The Easter Drama
Saturday, March 27 7:00pm
*St. John Lutheran Church, 15800 Manchester Road, Ellisville, MO (un)acceptable, the Easter drama, at St. John will be presented on Saturday, March 27 at 7:00pm and Sunday, March 28 at 9:00am, 11:00am, and 4:00pm. The drama is free and open to the public. There is a sense in our modern culture that the violence and suffering of Jesus is best left out of the Easter Story. Christianity (like all other religions), some say, glorifies violence and should stress the more gentle aspects of faith. Even formerly traditional churches, in attempts to appeal to the culture, are emphasizing the more “inclusive” and less “exclusive” aspects of their faith. While such an approach is commendable for its motive, there is line that cannot be crossed without serious compromise of the gospel. (UN)acceptable attempts to address this cultural conflict in a very real and brash display of the practical implications for an American family. Is truth about the suffering and death of Jesus politically incorrect in a culture that stresses peace and nonviolence? For more info, visit or call 636.394.4100 www.stjstl.net.

(un)acceptable: The Easter Drama
Sunday, March 28 9:00am, 11:00am, 4:00pm
St. John Lutheran Church, Sanctuary (un)acceptable, the Easter drama, at St.

Christ in the Passover
Thursday, April 1 6:30 p.m.
*St. Stephen UMC 101 St. Stephen Lane; Troy, MO 63379 St. Stephen United Methodist Church is excited to welcome Peter Blitshteyn with Jews for Jesus on Thursday, April 1st, 2010 to share a presentation entitled Christ in the Passover.
What do the Jewish Passover and Jesus’ Last Supper have in common? Peter Blitshteyn will answer that question as he explains the link between this ancient Festival of Redemption and Christ as the Lamb of God. Peter will use Scripture as well as the visual items to walk through a Jewish Passover Seder, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death and resurrection of Christ. The words Jesus spoke in the upper room will come alive as each Hebraic item is carefully explained. You’ll gain wonderful insights on how the pieces of God’s plan of salvation fit together, and you’ll remember this visual display of the Passover pageantry for years to come.
Join us at St. Stephen United Methodist Church, located at 101 St. Stephen Lane in Troy, MO on Thursday, April 1st at 6:30 p.m. for Christ in the Passover; from Egypt to Calvary and what it means for us today. This event is free and open to the public. No advance reservation required. For more information call St. Stephen United Methodist Church at 636-528-4148. www.ststephenumc.org
